The Storting has unanimously adopted the Standing Committee on Elections' recommendation on the composition of the Storting delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) for the period 2025–2029. The delegation consists of four permanent members and four personal deputy members.
The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) is an international organisation for parliaments from all over the world, in which the Storting participates to promote dialogue and cooperation between elected representatives across national borders. The Storting appoints a permanent delegation for four-year terms. The case concerned the election of representatives to this delegation for the period 2025–2029. The election committee presented a proposal for composition, which the Storting unanimously adopted. The elected members are Silje Hjemdal, Anne Kristine Linnestad, Erling Sande and Grunde Almeland, with Linda Monsen Merkesdal, Hans Andreas Limi, Kathy Lie and Marius Langballe Dalin as deputy members.
