The Storting has unanimously elected members and deputy members to the delegation for the EFTA and EEA Parliamentary Committees for the period 2025–2029. The election was based on the recommendation from the election committee.

The Storting has appointed members and deputy members to the delegation that will represent Norway in the EFTA Parliamentary Committee and the Joint Parliamentary Committee for the EEA. This is a permanent body where Norwegian MPs meet with parliamentarians from other EFTA countries and the EU to discuss issues related to the EEA Agreement and cooperation in Europe. The election applies to the entire parliamentary term 2025–2029.

Hva er dette?

The parliamentary delegations are groups of MPs elected to represent the Storting in international parliamentary bodies. The EFTA and EEA delegation is responsible for dialogue with parliamentarians from other EFTA countries and the European Parliament on issues related to the EEA Agreement.

It is a fixed task for the Storting to appoint delegations to international bodies at the start of each parliamentary term in order to ensure continuity and democratic anchoring in international cooperation.
